He was a doctor who completed his training at St. Thomas’s Hospital in 1940. In 1960 he was employed by the World Health Organisation.
Little is known of his naval career but at one time he was ADC to Admiral Mountbatten. After he retired from the Navy he became the proprietor of Wild Thyme restaurant in Putney, west London, where he lived in the 1970s.
